ASTERIx-CAESar consortium met for the first General Assembly in Madrid

The project’s first General Assembly was held on 13 and 14 November 2024 and was hosted by our partner CIEMAT in their premises in Madrid.

Apart from the development of all the work packages, the consortium delivered a few specific presentations on

• Prototype specification status
• The Greek electricity market and its challenges due to the high penetration of renewable energy sources
• Solar receiver development & solar furnace testing results
• Sustainability assessment, circularity and recyclability potential
• Public acceptance

The meeting not only offered project updates but also priceless networking opportunities and fostered a strong team spirit.

The next meeting will be in Brussels for the occasion of the first reporting period!
